Thank you for your engagement at Social Spring & Summer 2022!
Getting socially active in the summer has been a tradition at Scout24 for many years. However, this year's Social Summer went quite differently than originally planned: With Russia's escalating aggression against Ukraine starting at the beginning of the year, it quickly became clear to us that the traditional "Social Summer" would have to become a "Social Spring" this time. As early as April 4 - and two months earlier than originally planned - Scouts had the opportunity to support refugees from Ukraine and homeless people in general for a total of eight hours during their working hours. Moreover, due to an extension until August 31, this year's action period ran not only over three months as usual, but over a whole five months!
During this time, we have achieved a lot of successes together:
- over 530 hours of commitment to social projects
- 14 supported engagement offers
- countless good deeds and personal insights
Thank you to everyone who, despite their busy schedules, took a few hours out of their day to support people in particularly difficult circumstances! This year's Social Summer has come to an end. Stay tuned for Social Summer 2023!
About the Social Summer
Every summer, over a period of several months, Scouts have the opportunity to get involved in various social, ecological or cultural projects within their working hours and thus give something back to society. During the campaign period, all Scouts - regardless of their employment status and weekly working hours - have a total of eight hours at their disposal, which can be used flexibly for social projects.
